  1. I loved the shadows and play on the light in the "only looking up exercise". I think those photographs show a really great light-dark juxtaposition. Additionally, I considered them interesting to look at. With the 4 corners prompt, I also thought you nailed this. With mine, it felt a bit forced. You, however, changed the angles and perspectives of the subject. Each photograph was unique! I also appreciated the neutral color theme you had going on. Whether or not that was intentional, these photos looked cohesive!

  2. These are really great photos! I especially like the third exercise with the juxtaposition between the lamp and the shadow it creates, and the various angles you chose to photograph the cat statue in exercise six. The sixth series really gives the impression that the cat statue it looking at something.

  3. Syd,

    For some reason, your 5b really reminds me of octopus skin. These shots come off almost as abstractions, especially shots 3b-4b. One of your strong suits over the semester was tinkering with fabric and various textures, and it's interesting to see the building blocks you used as foundation to grow upon throughout the course. Kudos, Syd!
