#4: abstractions works in progress [cheyenne harvey-stoltz]
Cheyenne Harvey-Stoltz
Some of these photos are in downtown Carlisle and a few are left over from my light assignment in Harrisburg. Unfortunately, the sun was hiding today, so it was a little challenging to capture and embrace light regarding abstractions. I found the assignment difficult due to the specificity and simplicity expected. The editing process was also unexpectedly hard considering that some of the subjects were so monochrome or lacking in diverse lighting. That being said, I had a lot of fun experimenting with new angles and new techniques in Lightroom :)

Cheyenne, these are lovely. In your first photograph, I love the portion you made into a square. If you are thinking of retaking it, the only thing I would change is maybe make the vase more clear and in focus, if this possible for you to do. I loved the black and white color grading one. I have no idea what the object is and I believe that is what helps make it so abstract. I love the cropping on this and how it makes the shape feel "longer" and I love the purple color you added in. I think it makes it feel mysterious yet modern. I love the city buildings one. I do not think it would count as only 3 colors. It definitely could be used for one of the other prompts though. I love the triangles in it and I think its a great use of light, dark, and reflections! I also really enjoy the brick photograph. When I look at it, it reminds me of a moving floor, like in Mario Kart or something. I think the vignette was a good candidate for that photograph. These are excellent as always. :)
