#4B Abstractions Final & Creative Shutter Speeds/Apertures

Assignment 4B: Abstractions Final and Creative Shutter Speeds/Apertures

This assignment was really really rough given how time crunched I was with prep for the road trip but I definitely found it fun to experiment with the different shutter speeds and apertures. I found that I prefer shooting with shallow depth of field because it was satisfying to isolate a close subject and lose the background in blur. I also edited my shallow depth of field photo to further this effect. It was somewhat difficult to shoot with max depth of field because I felt that the things around me didn't suit that setting, making photos of them look extremely pedestrian. It was really hard to find a subject, create a decent enough composition, and maintain visual intention and focus while exemplifying the specific feature in each prompt. Overall though, playing around with the camera's features helped me understand how a picture can become art and what photographers do to manipulate their images to best capture their subjects. It's crazy how the same thing can be photographed by 50 different people but, with different camera settings and edits, result in 50 completely unique photos.
