#5: Portrait Challenges Final (Sydney Nguyen)
Portrait Challenges FinalThis challenge was really hard since I was only able to access wifi, and therefore download photos and edit them, for about 30 minutes. But I had fun trying to improve on my draft in this weird environment and situation.
Person without a person there:
1. This one is supposed to capture me via the empty space where I would normally be laying
2. This one depicts a child (or the lack thereof) sliding down the playground pole
Portraits of Justin
1. He's barely there! But this is Justin after a long day on the court (staged :/ )
2. Justin against the window, unfortunately could not reshoot this and give him a more dynamic positioning because we left the hotel and don't have curtains now
Self Portraits
1. This is the one where I got snuck up on and instinctively snapped the pic
2. This is a cool shadow I caught of myself in the evening. I like how the sparse blinds cast shadows against the wall! When I initially edited it, I made the highlights a cooler blueish tone but I realized I liked how the warmth really reflected the bright orange sunset so I ended up going in that direction
3. An extra image that I was able to get quickly before the wifi cut out:
Some of my art, as well as some of the art prints I've been given, that Justin brought to the new apartment. I normally enjoy doing art but have not been making much lately so I think this captures some of my more recent creations and the colors/concepts that appeal to me
